Mission
The mission of the Greenbelt Cultural Arts Center (the Greenbelt Arts Center) is to provide a dedicated and sustainable entertainment and educational hub for fine and performing arts that enriches the life and cultural heritage of Greenbelt and surrounding communities.
Vision
To be a premiere, state of the art community arts center for Greenbelt and surrounding communities that encourages and facilitates artistic growth and leadership, as well as an appreciation for the role of the arts in the health of our culture and our society.
Goals
To meet our Mission and Vision, we:
- Offer an array of all performing arts along the spectrum of classical works to the most contemporary, produced by Center membership and guest groups.
- Offer the Center as a venue for the exhibition, promotion and sale of selected fine art works and the production of original theater pieces.
- Engage in collaborative experiences with individuals, groups, and institutions outside the Center membership.
- Explore educational opportunities in the arts that will benefit the Center and the communities it serves.
- Maintain sound fiscal and human resource management policies.
- Continually strive toward excellence through ongoing assessment and reassessment of our goals and our practices.
